The region from its arises become apithelial columns to which mesodermal derivatives soon becomes incorporated to form the adult organ .Its composed of the soft reddish brown tissue usually subdivided into small lobes arranged in various ways .In some mammals there may be as many as six or seven lobes .The liver is surrounded ,beneath its serious coat by a connective tissue covering .the Glisson’s capsule ,which hold the liver lobes together . Thin strands of connective tissue extand from the capsule into substance of the liver an divides each lobes into millions of tiny units called “lobules ” each lobules is about 0.7-2 mm in size .polyhyderal
