Histology of Stomach

The stomach is the conpicious of the digestive tract lying between the oesophagus and the intestine .stirctly speaking such an enlargement can be spoken as a stomach only when its epithelium can be spoken as a stomach only when its epithelium possoes gastric glands.
It is an organ which concerned with storage and digestion of food . In mammals the stomach lies transversally and its three major regions are recognized . the first part of the stomach next to the oesophagus is the cardioac region .The middle sac like part is the fundus and the posterior third part is the pyloric region which has a pyloric or pylorus valve.The stomach has the typical layers of tissues found in the wall of the elementary canal.
